Eligibility Criteria

The contests are open to all ages and nationalities.

Winners can only be paid via PayPal or Canadian cheque.

Works submitted must be original. Works submitted cannot have been previously published or commercially released.
Assessment Criteria
Excellence and originality of the submissions will be the main criteria in judging.
Works submitted will be examined by a jury selected by Musicworks magazine.
Application Process
Candidates may enter both categories with unlimited entries in each category.
File Types for Electronic Music Composition Contest entries:
- MP3 or MP4 only (no other file type will be accepted)
- File name must be the title of your submitted work.
File Types for "Sonic Geography" Writing Contest entries:
- PDF only (no other file type will be accepted)
- File name must be the title of your submitted work.
$25 contest entry fee for each first entry. Additional entries: $5 each.
Entry includes a free one-year subscription to Musicworks magazine.
